I am guilty of saying “someday I will…” I have used that phrase to refer to many things in my hopeful future. For example,

1. Someday I’ll be out of debt.
2. Someday I’ll be rich
3. Someday I’ll be more confident
4. Someday I’ll act more mature

I think this is a passive way of thinking that leaves the possibilities to chance. I believe (have been convinced) that anything that I want I must pursue actively. There are plans for debt relief, accumulating wealth, and acting more confident and mature.

I will design plans and pursue my desires and dreams. Someday never comes on its own. I must make someday a reality day-by-day.

Man! Today was a tough day. I worked hard and quickly. Today, was the due date of a big project. I found out near the end of the day that the due date was wrong. I felt relieved but angry too.

I have learned in the 31 years of my life that the best person to be is myself. I have made great attempts at imitating others to the point of trying to become a replica. I do believe one can learn lessons, gain insight, and adopt methods and habits from another person. That is a part of learning. However, one should add his own flavor to it.

Today, I will be myself.
